Warrensburg CSD Announces New Elementary School Leadership Team
The Warrensburg Central School District is pleased to announce important leadership changes at the Elementary School level following the conclusion of the 2024–2025 school year.
After many years of dedicated service, Mr. Keith LaLone has stepped down as Elementary School Principal. The district extends its sincere gratitude to Mr. LaLone for his commitment to Warrensburg students, families, and staff. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
To support a strong transition and continued excellence in our elementary school, the district has appointed Mr. Damian Switzer as Interim Elementary Principal and Mr. Jed Bierman as Assistant Elementary Principal.
Following a long career in teaching, Mr. Damian Switzer served five years as the K-12 principal for Bolton CSD and ten years as the principal for Queensbury High School before retiring. Passionate about education, he has since supported several local districts by filling interim leadership roles, including Interim High School Assistant Principal at Hudson Falls CSD and Interim Elementary Principal at Salem CSD.
A Warrensburg community member, Mr. Jed Bierman joins us with 13 years of classroom teaching experience in schools throughout the Capital District. He earned his Masters in Education from Sage Graduate School of Education and is currently pursuing his certification in School Building Leadership from SUNY Plattsburgh’s Graduate School. He recently completed his Administrative Internship at Hadley Luzerne Elementary School.
These appointments follow a thorough review process that included input from district leadership, faculty, staff, and students. Mr. Switzer and Mr. Bierman will work collaboratively as a leadership team for the coming school year.
Please join us in welcoming Mr. Switzer and Mr. Bierman to their new roles and to the Warrensburg Central School District community
