About Warrensburg CSD

The Warrensburg Central School District is located in Warren County, in the town of Warrensburg, New York. The district consists of two school buildings: Warrensburg Elementary School, serving prekindergarten through grade 6, and Warrensburg Junior/Senior High School, serving grades 7 through 12. The Warrensburg Elementary School is located at 1 James St. in Warrensburg, New York. The Warrensburg Junior/Senior High School is located at 103 Schroon River Rd. in Warrensburg, New York. The district’s mascot is Burghermeister.

Warrensburg Central School District primarily serves the towns of Warrensburg and Thurman, as well as parts of the Lake George, Diamond Point, and Chestertown communities. According to U.S. Census data, the district's population is approximately 5,528 residents.

The Warrensburg Central School District has determined four areas of focus for our Long Range Plan: Academics, Wellness, Community Engagement, and Character. Over the next few years, we will announce and execute our plans to meet these goals.

  • Academics Goal: Deliver instructional and assessment practices aligned to a high-quality curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Wellness Goal: Provide social-emotional learning SEL and wellness opportunities for students and staff to create a safe and supportive school community. 
  • Community Engagement Goal: Increase engagement and involvement for families and the school community through communication and outreach programs.
  • Character Goals: Promote and develop character traits that create a positive school culture and community
