Seventeen WCSD Students Welcomed to National Honor Society
On Tuesday, seventeen students from Warrensburg Jr/Sr High School were inducted into the National Honor Society in front of friends and family. The National Honor Society recognizes students for their success in four areas: academic achievement, leadership, service, and character.
The inductees, Elsie Eastman, Avah Fiorentino, Sophia Fiorentino, Briella Gallagher, Hailey Goodspeed, Summer Krom, Hayden LaMontain, Sara Lane-Pecue, Taylor Lehocki, Charlotte Measeck, Caitlin O'Donnell, Michala Olden, Sara-Michelle Rogers, Zoe Sheloski, Colton Stannard, Alex Wallace, and Ryan West, were welcomed into the organization by Warrensburg Jr/Sr High School seniors who were selected for membership in the previous year.
To be considered for membership, students must maintain an average GPA of 88% or higher, participate in school extracurricular activities, demonstrate a commitment to community service, and submit an essay expressing their interest to the school staff. Candidates are then evaluated by the staff based on their leadership, character, and service qualities.
Being inducted into the National Honor Society is not only an accomplishment but also an opportunity for students to take on challenging responsibilities and make a difference in the community. With membership comes the recognition from peers and community members that they will uphold the values of the NHS.
Congratulations to the newest members!
