Sophomores Selected for State Leadership Seminar
Warrensburg Jr/Sr High School 10th graders Grace Mosher and Genna Lehocki have been selected by a staff committee to represent Warrensburg CSD at the 2024 Hugh O’Brian Youth (HOBY) State Leadership Seminar! Designed specifically for sophomores, the seminar helps students build and apply their leadership talents. Participation requires a nomination from the student’s school district.
“We are proud to send Grace and Genna, two students with standout leadership potential, to the HOBY seminar. This opportunity will allow them to further develop their talents and grow as leaders. For over 20 years, Warrensburg has sent students to HOBY, and each year, our nominees return eager to apply the skills they learned to both their academics and extra curricular activities,” Jr/Sr School Counselor Sarah Landers said.
The HOBY conference attracts attendees from more than 10,000 local and international high schools. During the seminar, the nominated students will participate in facilitated dialogue and abilities-based workshops to develop awareness of their leadership strengths and an understanding of their leadership values. Congratulations to Grace and Genna, we are excited to see you grow as leaders!
