Our Varsity Baseball team is the #1 seed for the Section 2-Class D baseball tournament! The Burghers will host Germantown on Saturday, May 18th at 1 pm at the High School in the Sectional Quarterfinals. With a win, the team will move on to the Semifinals on Monday at Lansingburgh HS at 7 pm. Good luck Warrensburg!
Tuesday will be a busy day at the Jr/Sr High School! Polls for the school budget vote and Board of Education election will be open from noon until 8 pm. Stop by at 6 pm to see the art and academic projects our students have worked on during the 2023-24 school year, then enjoy a performance from our Grade 7-12 Choral Group at 7 pm. Students competed for a slot in the WSWHE Regional Spelling Bee. Since our 1st place winner, Charlie Carodonna is unable to make it, Olivia Stillman will represent the Warrensburg Elementary School during the regionals. Good luck, Olivia!
Our school budget vote will take place this Tuesday! Make time to vote, polls will be open from noon to 8 pm. The polls will be in the lobby outside our Jr./Sr. High School Gym at 103 Schroon River Rd., Warrensburg, NY.

The Warrensburg Central School District is pleased to announce that our Softball, Baseball, and Girls Track and Field Spring Varsity athletic teams have been recognized as NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete teams. To achieve this honor, the third marking period GPA of 75% of the team's total roster, when averaged together, must be 90.00 or better.
In addition, we had 17 Varsity athletes who had a 90.00 GPA or better in the third marking period. Congratulations to our student-athletes on a successful spring season in the classroom and during competition!
Join the 2nd Annual Hickory Hike 4 Kids hosted by the Hickory Legacy Foundation on Saturday, June 22nd at noon. Attendees can participate in a community hike followed by an after-party filled with outdoor music, local beer and wine, tasty food, and fun family games. The hike is free and the first 50 who sign up for the hike get a free T-Shirt.

Warrensburg students attended the Sandra A Morley Leadership banquet to receive awards for their leadership in physical education. Students were selected for their leadership skills, positive attitude, behavior, and performance. Congratulations to WCSD students Sadeigh Fish, Savannah Duell, Nevaeh Goodell, Carter Rausch, Austin Conner, and Grayson Breault!
This year, five Warrensburg students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). To qualify for the NTHS, students must achieve a 94 minimum GPA in their CTE program, display the highest standard of personal and professional conduct, achieve a 90 minimum GPA in the integrated academic components of the program (English and Math), and be nominated by their instructors. Congratulations to Warrensburg students Colton Bell, Marshall Bushey, Kai Healy, Wyatt Hitchcock, and Hope Sherman for achieving this recognition!
REMINDER: The Warrensburg Central School District's public budget hearing for the 2024-25 school budget will be held on May 13th at 6PM in the Jr/Sr High School.
May 8th is National School Nurses Day! Our school nurses play an invaluable role in our district by keeping students in our school buildings healthy and safe. Nurses are healers, educators, role models, and comforters. We are thankful for the work you do!
Last week, Warrensburg students joined other volunteers for a vertical garden build at Whitbeck Construction's headquarters. This event was organized by the Northeast Construction Trades Workforce Development Coalition, who work to encourage young people to consider a career in the construction industry by bringing awareness to the opportunities and benefits associated with the industry. Thank you for having us!
Warrensburg Senior Brady Cheney recently moved to 2nd all-time career strikeouts in Section 2 with 280 strikeouts! He now trails former MLB pitcher and Saratoga Catholic graduate Tim Stauffer for most strikeouts in Section 2. Congratulations Brady, keep up the good work!
On May 20th, join us at the Warrensburg Elementary School for a meeting of the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA)! The PTSA is a volunteer association that connects families, schools, and communities by providing programs and services at our schools.
